Activation that shows up in sales.

Retail media measurement for pet brands.

Retail media budgets in pet speciality are growing faster than anyone's ability to prove they work. That's the gap this module closes.

What this module will do

Petview's retail media module, on the roadmap following the category & share and availability modules, will give pet brands a statistically meaningful read on whether retail media spend in UK pet speciality drove incremental sales, benchmarked against the competitor activity running in the same window. Its job is to test campaign claims against what actually sold.

The measurement problem

Retail media is now a standard line in pet brand JBPs, and the reporting that comes back is almost always platform-side: impressions, clicks, attributed ROAS. Those numbers describe the media without answering the commercial question: would those sales have happened anyway? Without a baseline and without visibility of competitor activity in the same window, an attributed ROAS is a negotiating position, not a measurement.

The questions the module is built to answer

  • Did the activation window show sales movement beyond baseline, at store level?
  • How much of the "uplift" was really price, promotion or seasonality riding alongside the media?
  • What competitor activity ran in the same window, and how did it affect the read?
  • Which activation formats earn their cost in my sub-category?
  • What should next year's retail media line in the JBP actually buy?

Shape it before it ships

Like promotional efficiency, this module is being designed with launch partners through 2026. If you're being asked to sign a bigger retail media line than you can currently justify, request a briefing.
